So...Lil Man's mom (Jen) is due this month with a baby girl...We're sooooo excited! You know you'll be seeing pics as soon as she arrives! Sara and I hosted a baby shower for her this weekend at my house...this is how the baby fest '08 unfolded:
Game 1-
Sara taped an index card with a famous mother (i.e. Mother Nature, Claire Huxtable, Mary, etc) on everyone's back as they arrived. Here they are asking yes or no questions to see if they can figure out who they are...
Game 2-Each person was given a tiny tub of Play-Doh. We had 4 rounds in which they had to make the item of that round...we had rattle, bottle, pacifier and a baby. Here Jen shows her "baby" in a blanket...Hey, Jen-that kinda looks like it could pass for Baby Jesus...can I use it my tabletop Nativity???

Then it was on to opening presents...Jen was really blessed at this shower and she had another shower at her church the next day that went well also.
This is what Lil Man got his baby sister...isn't he sweet? He'll be a great big brother! Jen-we may need to get rid of that shirt he's wearing once baby girl can start to read...she may get her feelings hurt...

So...a red head, brunette and blond walk into a bar...Ok..really, this is Sara, Jen and Me along with Lil Man...
The next pic someone said that we needed to stand and look over our shoulder:
We did...and I sure do love Lil Man's interpretation of look over your shoulder:
I had to throw in the pic of Lil Man and me...I sure do heart this little fella! I'm pretty sure he hearts his Aunt K too!
Ok...I do not intend to offend any CSI:Miami or Horatio lovers...but his actions with these really get on my nerves:
However, on occasion, I have watched the show...I personally prefer the original CSI...
But on to the interesting info regarding my class this week:
The forensics team presented all kinds of cool information...they talked about the different ways in which they obtain evidence to solve cases...they showed tons of pictures (most of which I couldn't look at)...and we got to practice lifting prints...
We're being shown the process of lifting prints: (look closely in this pic to see if you can locate a skeleton...)
I'm getting my groove....er...I mean...gloves on...
Now the dusting...
and lifting...
Now I'm comparing the prints that are on the card...(can we say roots? good thing I have a hair appointment on Tuesday...who doesn't want freshly dyed hair for Election Day???)
So intense...ok...my eyes really make it look like I'm about to fall asleep...maybe that's why Horatio always has those sunglasses and those looks...
Next week we get to learn some self defense maneuvers and have the taser used on us...It will be an electric evening!!!
