OK...i think i have a new pet peeve...this is my numero uno...for now...annoyance...
why do people feel the need to talk on their cell phones in public restrooms? I am now making it my mission to be as noisy as I can...to make sure that the person they are talking to know they are in a restroom...no i do not mean i am purposing to toot loudly either...you know...to do stuff like turn the water on full blast for a second...flush while they are talking...make sure the metal door has trouble locking so i have to rattle it a few times...quickly move the paper towel handle so it is annoying...even dry my hands a little longer if it has an automatic dryer...
just some thoughts...
people tell your caller that you will call them back in a sec...it's not hard to do...
what is your current pet peeve???
theme(s): life, random rant

My sentiments exactly. You could pretend to vomit loudly next time... LOL

I just don't understand talking to some while doing something so personal. I like what your first commenter said... it should make them hurry and get out of the bathroom.
And why not make a few tooting noises. Lol

I just flush repeatedly so they can't hear anything at all. :-) I find it strange and rather nasty that people think it is acceptable behavior to bring their phone companion with them to the bathroom.

Oh, wow. You guys are gonna HATE me. I'm a bathroom talker. It's like the only time during my day when I can talk in private. Guilty as charged. However, I have a few rules...I only hold my phone w/ one hand and it's not the one used for...you know. Also, I wash both hands *thouroughly* before leaving and often wipe down my phone w/ a sanitizer wipe when I get back to my desk. ALSO...I always...always say "excuse me" when I flush...not sure why I do that. Oh, and I always tell the other person "I'm in the bathroom." My regulars are always like "I figured."
Are you still my friend?

Yeah I don't like it either. It is one place where it is supposed to be quiet.
I think there should definately be cell phone rules because I also really do not like it when people talk in restaurants on cell phones. Have you ever been out to lunch with a friend and had someone sitting behind you laughing really loud or talking really loud on a cell phone. Very annoying.
Also, people who work in stores. I am not kidding you I walked into a store and I thought the lady in the story was quite happily saying "Hello, how are you?" to me as I walked in but then was embarrased to see that she had actually just called someone on the phone and as I answered with a "fine, how are you?" she looked at me like I was a moron and looked at the floor.
I guess I have more issues about this than I thought! Hee Hee
