Wow! I haven't posted anything since last Wednesday...I promise I will catch up with everyone else's sites soon...This weekend was amazing! Not sure if you know the history of what I am about to share, but you can check it out here...

But to sum it up, a half sister contacted me in April and I found out that I have 5 half sisters!

Two of my sisters came up and I met them for the first time! I had already met one of my sisters she is the one next to me...

They are so friendly, caring, beautiful and have great senses of humor. It was such a pleasure to meet them! They arrived on Friday night and we stayed up way late just visiting and getting to know each other. On Saturday we went to lunch and met an aunt...They hadn't seen her in almost 15 years and I had never met her. She was lovely...she also filled us in on some history. We met her husband and son later that night.

It was very interesting to hear their voices and see their mannerisms...we also went to get manicures and pedicures...such a sisterly thing to do, right?? :)

It was great getting to know them and I can't wait to see them again...
There are still 2 more sisters that I have yet to meet...but hope that changes soon...

That's a lot of sisters! I don't know how I would feel if I had some long lost siblings sudden appear in my life, but if they were sisters, I'm sure it would make it a little easier (since I've always wanted a sister and got three brothers instead).

That's amazing & awesome. I can appreciate that - my Dad got a letter one day from his mom who he didn't know. I was 23 and still remember sobbing in our kitchen as I read the letter. I met my Grandma not too long after that for the first time. Emotional stuff.

March 9, 2009 at 8:35 AM

March 9, 2009 at 9:08 AM

There was a show on one of the cable channels that connected lost brothers, sisters, and birth parents - even old friends I think. Can't think of the name of it now but I cried and cried every time I watched those reunions! I'm sure there is a reason that you all were brought together after all this time. Cherish them.

March 9, 2009 at 9:15 AM

Happy SITS Day!

That is so sweet! I bet you have a lot to learn about each other. Enjoy.

March 9, 2009 at 12:06 PM

Feather that is so neat. I have a ton of siblings myself, mostly halfs (halves) with just one full biological sister. I'm the eldest, and my parents always travelled in the same circles as each other, plus I lived with my mom until I was 14, then with my dad until I was 17... so I know them all. I know how lucky I fel to have so many people with whom I share a common background, and it's always neat when I get together with them to see how similar (and different) we are.

March 9, 2009 at 12:10 PM

That's so great! :)

March 9, 2009 at 12:43 PM

How exciting. Congrats on the reunion. I have some half siblings too that I don't have contact with, they are 16 to 25 years younger than me, so it might be a while before we reconnect.
